The shape of the opening for the ADAS Rosetta tent membrane resembles the shape of the Rosetta stone.
A brief history of the Rosetta stone:
Back in 196 B.C., there was a stone written with two languages (Egyptian and Greek), using three scripts (hieroglyphic, demotic and Greek) by a group of Egyptian priests and it lists all the good things that the pharaoh had done for mankind. It was rediscovered in 1799 by a soldier, Pierre-Francois Bouchard, of the French expedition to Egypt who was rebuilding a fort at Rosetta, a harbour on the Mediterranean coast in Egypt. After the British defeated the French, it was handed to British Army who sent the Rosetta to the British Museum, its location since 1802.
Our intention is capturing the essence, beauty, lushness, splendidness and sublimity of the Rosetta Stone in our Rosetta tent.
